Access and Circulation Services - Wright Library

Access and Circulation Services

What We Do

We help faculty, students, and other researchers find and use Wright Library’s services, collections, and resources.

Our goal is to be your central service point in the library, by providing information, answering your questions, and connecting you to what the library has to offer. We check out materials, maintain library records, help you understand how to use and manage your library account, access course reserve materials, process interlibrary loan requests, and can put you in contact with our specialized information experts.

If you have questions about circulation services, please contact us.

Renewals and Courtesy Notices

As a courtesy, you will receive a reminder 5 days before your library materials are due. Courtesy notices are sent to active patrons with a valid email address on file. If you believe you should be receiving courtesy notices, please check with the Circulation Desk to make sure the email on your record is up-to-date.

Wright Library assumes no responsibility for non-receipt of courtesy notices. It is still the sole responsibility of the borrower to ensure that materials are returned and/or renewed on time. Failure to return and/or renew a borrowed item on or before the due date or time will incur a late fee (see Fines).

Library materials may be renewed online or via text (SMS) on or before the due date.* You may also reply to a courtesy notice (or call the Circulation Desk at (609) 497-7940) and request a renewal.*

*Unless there is a hold or recall on them,

  • Princeton Seminary faculty and PhD students may renew books twice;
  • Princeton University faculty and PhD students must return books in person by the end of their loan period (no renewals);
  • all other borrowers (who have shorter loan periods) may renew a maximum of five times.

Recalling Items

If an item is currently checked out to another borrower, patrons with recall privileges* may recall it.

On-site Visitor Access

All visitors to Wright Library can browse the general collections and access electronic resources using the public computers on the first floor of the library.
