Digitization
Home Wright Library Services Digitization
Eligible borrowers may request that print items owned by Wright Library be scanned and e-mailed to them. Materials can include journal articles, book chapters or selections, and conference proceedings papers. Requests must follow fair use guidance.
This service is intended for the personal research needs of the scholar, not as a way to submit course reserve requests.
Submit course reserve requests directly to Access and Circulation Services, library.circulation@ptsem.edu.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled Princeton Seminary students
- Current and Emeritus Princeton Seminary faculty
- Current Princeton Seminary staff members
- Current CTI Scholars, OMSC Global Partners and Visiting Scholars
Guidelines
The following guidelines will help our staff deliver the fastest, most accurate service:
- Submit only 1 article or book chapter per request.
- Enter citation information as accurately and completely as possible.
- Keep requests for an article or chapter to 50 scanned pages or fewer.
- Please limit requests to no more than 3 chapters from the same book or 3 articles from the same journal issue.
- We cannot fulfill request scans of entire journals or books due to copyright law. If you need more than 50 pages or 3 chapters, please check out the print book or request an e-copy if available.
- There is no limit on the number of requests you can submit via the service, however we suggest that you submit no more than 5 per day.
- Requests will be reviewed by a librarian to ensure that they follow copyright guidelines. If a request is determined to be outside of fair use, you may be contacted to see if a smaller portion of the material might fulfill your research needs.
Fulfillment
Requests will be e-mailed within 24-72 hours, with most requests being fulfilled within a day.
