WorldCat.orgWhat is a library catalog?
A library catalog is a database of materials, mostly physical, held by the library. You can use it to find books, journals, and DVDs (and some other formats) in the library’s collection.
Search the print catalog by author, title, subject, journal title, and call number. Some materials may be renewed online. Help screens are available for most functions. Please tell a library staff member about any inaccuracies or discrepancies.
Looking for an article or e-book? Use Summon, or select and search one of the research databases.
Call numbers
Most of the printed materials in the library are shelved by Library of Congress call number. Library of Congress call numbers give each book a unique identifier, assuring it a particular place on the shelves. Call numbers also help group items by subject.
