PhD Student | Theology, Ethics, and Politics
Wing Yin Li, born and raised in Hong Kong, is a Ph.D. student in theology, ethics, and politics. As a recipient of both Presidential Merit Scholarship and Trustees Merit Scholarship from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Louisville Doctoral Fellow, Wing’s research focuses on engaging apocalyptic as a theological category by reading the Apocalypse of John as resistance literature and explores how the relation between apocalyptic and knowledge production can enrich the theological reflection of resistance against empires. Wing’s research interests include systematic theology, continental philosophy, postcolonial theories, and inter-religious dialogues.
Wing also holds an M.A. with honors in philosophy and theology from the University of Edinburgh and an MDiv. from Princeton Theological Seminary, where Wing received the Senior Fellowship in Theology.
Beyond academia, Wing is a candidate for ordination in the ELCA and has years of ministry experience in local churches across the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and the United States.
