Ransom William Portis, MDiv ’15, is a second-year PhD student at Princeton Theological Seminary. He completed an MDiv at Princeton Theological Seminary in 2015 and was the recipient of the Henry Snyder Gehman Award in Old Testament in 2014. Prior to Seminary, Portis completed a BA in developmental psychology at Warner Pacific College and worked in residential treatment for high risk youth. Portis is currently an active participant in the United Methodist Church along with his wife Natalie and son Deacon. His academic interests include ancient Levantine and Mesopotamian literature, Old Testament anthropologies, and the Divine Council.
