Bio:

Morgan Proffitt is a PhD student in the Department of History and Ecumenics, specializing in religion in the Americas. Morgan earned a BA from Harding University and a MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. Born and raised in the Southern United States, Morgan’s work hopes to center how reforming women in the South have made use of religion, particularly through their implementation of memory, materiality, and ritual in constructing spiritualities across racial, gendered, and class lines.

Her research interests include feminist epistemologies and theologies, materiality, and storytelling.
