Short Bio
Monica Burt is a PhD student in New Testament. Monica holds degrees from Luther Seminary (MDiv) and Portland State University (BA and MA). Her research interests include Second Temple Judaism, structures of power and authority, and boundary markers based on gender and ethnicity in the New Testament narratives. Monica is in candidacy for ordination with the Southwest California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
