Michael Dean Morgan, MFA, is a Story Researcher, Speech Professor, and Broadway Actor. Formerly of Princeton Theological Seminary and now a Lecturer at the University of Miami. He served PTS from 2014-2022 teaching speech communication and is currently developing courses for PTS’s Online and Professional Studies program.

As researcher, Michael’s work explores the power of story and personal narrative to bring together communities. Michael is a certified Knight-Thompson Speechwork instructor and recipient of the “Dudley Knight Award for Outstanding Vocal Scholarship” for his published work, “Quarantine Stories: From Pandemics to Innovation.”

As theatre artist, Michael has performed on Broadway, regional theatre, network television and nearly a decade with Disney Theatrical Productions. Credits include Broadway cast of Amazing Grace, as Mr. Banks in Disney’s Mary Poppins, as Zazu, in The Lion King; appearances on CBS, NBC, HBO, Amazon, and Netflix.
