Madeline Baas | Sabbath Facilitator

Facilitator

Madeline Baas has worked as a hospital chaplain for five years in the New York City area, providing emotional support and spiritual care to a diverse group of patients, families, and staff. She first felt an inkling of interest in chaplaincy after completing a clinical pastoral education unit at a psychiatric hospital in Michigan. Although she was not initially interested in this field, she was surprised by the impact this unit had on her, and it became a pivot point in her vocational endeavors. She graduated with her MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2021 and was awarded the Kenyon J. Wildrick Award for Excellence in Homiletics. She loves stories, long distance running, and making fresh pasta. Outside of organized worship, sabbath practices for her include taking walks outside, engaging in prayer, and resting.
