Darren Kennedy

Associate Pastor for Discipleship

Rev. Dr. Darren Kennedy serves as Associate Pastor for Discipleship, bringing nearly three decades of ministry experience to the congregation. His call to ministry has been shaped by long-term cross-cultural service, including 26 years as a PC(USA) missionary in Cairo, where he taught and mentored future church leaders at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo (ETSC) during a period of institutional growth and transition. His ministry is marked by pastoral presence, patient listening, and a commitment to forming disciples who love Jesus deeply. His wife, Elisabeth, grew up in Jordan as the daughter of missionaries and is a fluent Arabic speaker. She is an ordained PC(USA) pastor, a Hebrew Bible scholar, and is currently writing a commentary on Genesis 12–50. The couple met in college, later married after seminary, and have two adult sons: Calvin, a mechanical engineer working on solar farms in Ohio, and Samuel, a senior at Princeton University. Darren oversees discipleship pathways and programs for adults, including small groups, Sunday School, Men’s Ministry, and other discipleship offerings.
