Profile
Charles is a Ph.D. candidate in systematic theology. He earned a M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and a B.A. in philosophy from Wheaton College (IL). He is also an ordination candidate in the Presbyterian Church (USA). His research focuses on the role of ethical concepts in systematic theology, especially in the doctrine of God, soteriology, and the Christian life. His dissertation aims to critically revise themes from Reformed covenant theology by drawing on contemporary philosophy, biblical studies, and social criticism. He argues that covenant is a theologically valuable concept because it holds together loving fellowship, reciprocal obligations, and mutual accountability.
