Averee Gentry | Entrepreneurship & Higher Ed

Averee is a dedicated creative professional and entrepreneur currently based in Durham, North Carolina, and serving as the program coordinator for four initiatives within the Leadership Education at Duke Divinity School. After earning a degree in social entrepreneurship, Averee and her family opened a donut shop in Knoxville, Tennessee. She worked there while taking classes at night to gain her Master of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Averee’s greatest joy in this work is providing a model of hospitality to the Christian leaders and institutions who gather at initiative events and benefit from her team’s careful planning. Averee enjoys the opportunity to network with organizations committed to social change and is inspired by the good work she sees happening around her.
