Argrow "Kit" Evans-Ford

Dr. “Kit” Evans-Ford holds a Doctor of Ministry and is a spiritual director and social entrepreneur who founded Argrow’s House of Healing and Hope in Davenport, Iowa and Moline, Illinois. Argrow’s House offers free services daily for women healing from violence in the Quad Cities region. Argrow’s House is also a social enterprise where women healing from violence create beautiful bath products that provide a living wage for themselves in a safe space that celebrates who they are. In 2024, Argrow’s Cafe and food truck launched in Davenport where all profits support Argrow’s residential programming for women survivors. Kit is also the founder of a sensory gym for kids with special needs, and a company called Autistic & Loved which creates food grade silicon pendants called “chewelry” for children with autism spectrum and sensory processing disorders.

She is the author of 101 Testimonies of Hope: Life Stories to Encourage Your Faith In God and A Children’s Book on Bishop Richard Allen: A Nonviolence Journey. Her awards include the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Public Service Benefitting Local Communities and the Tom Locke Innovative Leader Award. Evans-Ford resides in Bettendorf, Iowa with her husband, Pastor Dwight L. Ford, and children, Imani and Justice.
