2023 Distinguished Alumnus Awardee - Ruth Faith Santana-Grace

Santana-Grace (MDiv 1994), executive presbyter of the Presbytery of Philadelphia and co-moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA), received the Distinguished Alumnus Award during Reunion 2023.

The award marks a powerful milestone in her life and ministry — one shaped by grace, resilience, and faithful leadership. For Santana-Grace, the recognition honors both her impact and the transformative journey she began at Princeton Seminary.

After earning her MDiv in 1994, she served the church nationally and locally, ultimately helping lead over 1.2 million Presbyterians in a two-year co-moderator term with Rev. Shavon Starling-Louis. Together, they championed “Unbounded We Thrive,” a vision of hope, inclusion, and shared abundance.

“This unlikely journey at Princeton has both been extraordinarily complicated and a great gift,” she said. “For which I will forever be grateful.”
