Facilitator

Angellica S. Sweat, is a sacred strategist, theologian, and womanist scholar whose work explores the intersections of preaching, trauma, spiritual care, and human flourishing. She serves as Program Coordinator for the Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary, where she develops theological programs and resources for congregational leaders accompanying young people. Her research examines sacred proclamation as a trauma-informed intervention, with particular attention to practices of care, healing, and flourishing. Sweat is a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry in Womanist Discourse at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. She holds a Master of Theology in Homiletics from Duke University Divinity School, a Master of Divinity in Worship and Preaching and Biblical Studies from Hood Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Livingstone College. She is an ordained deacon in the A.M.E. Zion Church and serves as a senior pastor. She contributes to the wider church by translating womanist and homiletical scholarship into practices that strengthen preaching, pastoral leadership, and congregational life.
