PhD Student | New Testament
Joseph Luigs is a PhD student in New Testament. Though a southern California native, he pastored for a short time in the Midwest before coming to Princeton Theological Seminary. He completed a ThM (’23) and continued into the doctoral program. Much of his passion remains in the church, believing the church can profit from thoughtful research examining its earliest history and theology. He holds degrees from Biola University (B.A.), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div.), and now Princeton Seminary. Joseph’s theological interests are quite broad, and he enjoys listening in on many theological conversations. However, his time at Princeton Seminary is devoted to pertinent questions within Christian Origins, focusing on the Pauline corpus, Patristic reception/exegesis, and the story of Christianity from its Jewish roots into the 4th century.
