Wing Yin Li is a Ph.D. student in theology. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Wing had spent some formative years in the United Kingdom, where they completed their undergraduate study as a first-generation student and engaged in two years of international student ministry. Before moving to Princeton, Wing served as a youth minister at a Lutheran church in Hong Kong. Currently, Wing is undergoing the candidacy process in the ELCA and serving as a pastoral associate at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in Ewing, NJ. Wing holds an M.A. with honors in philosophy and theology from the University of Edinburgh and an MDiv. from Princeton Theological Seminary, where Wing received the Senior Fellowship in Theology.

Beginning their doctoral studies in 2023, Wing is a recipient of both Presidential Merit Scholarship and Trustees Merit Scholarship from Princeton Theological Seminary. Wing was also recently selected as one of the Louisville Doctoral Fellows by the Louisville Institute.

Wing’s research focuses on engaging apocalyptic as a theological category by reading the Apocalypse of John as resistance literature and explores how this apocalyptic understanding can enrich the theology of resistance. Wing’s research interests also include systematic theology, continental philosophy, postcolonial theology, and social epistemology.
