Jenna Morgan is a PhD Student in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Originally from a very small town on the Oregon Coast (Lincoln City), she received her BA in Biblical Studies from George Fox University (Newberg, OR). She went on to receive her MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2023. Her interests are inspired by her Indigenous heritage (Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians) which drew her to compare the conquest narratives of the bible with the history of conquest and colonialism in North America. Her research interests include Deuteronomistic History, the history of religion, focusing on the books of Joshua and Judges, and themes of violence. She is a member of the PCUSA and lives with her husband Micah and her puppy named Otter.
