Paul’s Letter to the Romans and Christian Theology

October 23 @ 4:00 pm - October 25 @ 7:00 pm

Friday October 23 – 25 | 4 pm | Princeton Theological Campus

Continuing the tradition of the St Andrews Scripture and Theology conferences, Princeton Theological Seminary, in partnership with St Andrews, announces a conference on Paul’s Letter to the Romans and Christian Theology, to be held October 23–25, 2026 in Princeton, NJ, USA. This conference is a forum for exegetes and theologians to discuss the interpretation of the Letter to the Romans and its relevance, past as well as future, for Christian theology—historical, dogmatic, constructive, and otherwise. To that end, we will have plenary lectures by:

  • Stephanie Buckhanon Crowder | Chicago Theological Seminary
  • Mark Elliott | Wycliffe College, Toronto
  • Beverly Roberts Gaventa | Princeton Theological Seminary
  • Yii-Jan Lin | Yale Divinity School
  • Joshua Ralston | University of Edinburgh
  • Hanna Reichel | Princeton Theological Seminary
  • Michelle Sanchez | Harvard Divinity School
  • J. Ross Wagner | Duke Divinity School

In addition, there will be ample time allotted for simultaneous short papers (30-minute papers, each followed by 15 minutes Q&A), for which we invite proposals of no more than 200 words. Paper proposals, which may be on any aspect of the conference theme, must be submitted below.

The window for paper proposals is open now and will close on March 31, 2026. Decisions on paper proposals will be returned by April 30, 2026.
