Lourdes Bernard is a Dominican-American visual artist who makes multimedia works on paper addressing historical events and how they take shape within a landscape. Her research-based practice unravels complex histories through visual storytelling, ultimately inviting viewers to contemplate shared experiences. Her solo exhibition at The Erdman Center at Princeton Theological Seminary is a selection of works from her “Women of April” series and other selected works on paper. A visiting scholar she is the current artist in residence at the Overseas Ministries Study Center at Princeton Theological Seminary.
