Inaugural Lecture of Dr. Hanna Reichel

Princeton Theological Seminary is honored to invite the community to the inaugural lecture of Dr. Hanna Reichel, who now serves as the Charles Hodge Professor of Systematic Theology. This milestone lecture will be followed by a reception to celebrate Dr. Reichel’s appointment.

The lecture will be held in person and livestreamed for those unable to attend on campus. A link to the livestream will be provided prior to the event.

About Dr. Hanna Reichel

Dr. Hanna Reichel brings a deep commitment to theological inquiry and Reformed traditions. Reichel earned their Dr. Theol. in Systematic Theology from Heidelberg University in Germany, following an MDiv in Theology and a BSc in Economics. Before joining Princeton Seminary, they taught at Heidelberg University and Halle-Wittenberg University.

A distinguished scholar and ecclesial leader, Dr. Reichel:

  • Co-chairs the Christian Systematic Theology unit of the American Academy of Religion (AAR)
  • Serves on steering committees for both the Karl Barth Society of North America and the International Karl Barth Conference (Switzerland)
  • Co-edits two major academic series: Brill’s Studies in Systematic Theology and Routledge’s Karl Barth Studies
  • Chairs the Center for Barth Studies Advisory Board at Princeton Seminary
  • Is a ruling elder in the PC(USA) and a member of the Theology Working Group of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, currently preparing the 2025 General Council in Chiang Mai, Thailand
