Connecting Congregations to Best Practices in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

August 15, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$299

Join us for a 2-session workshop that will focus on bringing current research and best practices on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into three different aspects of a congregational leader’s role: supervising staff, stewarding congregations, and partnering with community organizations.

These workshops are hosted by Iron Sharpening Iron. Scholarships are available upon request. Email leadership.learning@ptsem.edu.

By joining this workshop you will:

  • Understand a framework for allyship that presents applicable actions everyone can take toward being an ally in the workplace or in community partnerships
  • Learn to address the complex dynamics of power and privilege within the nuanced perspective of the church
  • Be equipped to recognize and address unconscious biases, understand the impact of their decisions, and develop actionable strategies for leveraging their influence to support fairness and diversity.
