On the Threshold of the Kingdom of God - Princeton Theological Seminary

Nate Stucky, MDiv ’10, PhD ’15, director of the Seminary’s Farminary Project, sat down with Sam Chamelin of the “Food and Faith Podcast” to discuss the Farminary, Sabbath, and his new book,

Wrestling with Rest: Inviting Youth to Discover the Gift of Sabbath

(Eerdmans, 2019).

“How wonderful would it be for creation if humanity just stopped for a day? If we just stopped our consuming, stopped our endless activity…if we just stopped for one day, what would that do to our emissions if we didn’t have any for one day a week? There are really radical ecological implications here.”

Stucky asks “What does it look like to form leaders for service in the church and the world by putting these things together, by getting Seminary students and faculty and the broader community out in that space, hands in the soil?” Click below to hear the podcast.
