Princeton Theological Seminary welcomes Dr. Dwight N. Hopkins to deliver the Martin Luther King, Jr. Lecture on February 17 at 7:00 p.m. Hopkins’ lecture is titled “Faith and Wealth: Black Liberation Theology & Martin Luther King, Jr.”

This lecture is presented by the Association of Black Seminarians.


Speaker

Dwight N. Hopkins is the Alexander Campbell Professor at the University of Chicago. He teaches courses on Black liberation theology, the humanities and wealth, and global comparative cultures. He founded a 14-country network on Black religions and spiritualities. Focused on women’s advocacy and youth and student education, the network included Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Japan, India, England, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Ghana, Cuba, Jamaica, Brazil, and the USA. He is currently working on three new classes: Black Liberation Theology: Hopkins versus Cone?; Theology and Black Wealth Ownership; and Black Liberation Theology & the Critics Who Oppose It.
