Couples in ministry share a unique set of joys and challenges and this program is designed to help clergy couples address these challenges together. Over the course of the program, The Reverends Keon and Tamieka Gerow will help new and seasoned clergy couples share stories, offer advice, and provide best practices in achieving and maintaining work/life balance when both serve as pastors.
Keon A. Gerow is the founding and Senior Pastor of Catalyst Church in Philadelphia P.A. “Builder, thinker, and cutting edge” are all words used to describe him. Pastor Gerow graduated from Morehouse College (B.A.) and Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and earned a Certificate in Executive Leadership from the Howard University School of Business. He has served on the board of several organizations and is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, including being inducted into the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Preachers at Morehouse College as a “Distinguished Preacher.” Keon is happily married to The Rev. Tamieka Nicole Gerow and the proud father of two.
Tamieka Nicole Gerow serves with her husband at Catalyst Church in Philadelphia. Licensed to preach the gospel in 2005 and ordained in 2009 as the first female pastor in the history of Tenth Memorial Baptist Church, Tameika has also served at Bright Hope Baptist Church of Philadelphia, PA and as Executive Minister of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Spring House, PA. A native of Philadelphia, she is a graduate of Eastern University (B.A.) and Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University (M.Div.). She also earned a Certificate in Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. In addition to her pastoral ministry, Tamieka has launched entrepreneurial ministry efforts the support women in leadership. An itinerant preacher, conference speaker, and retreat facilitator, her love for home keeps her actively involved in ministry throughout the city of Philadelphia and vicinity. In July 2012 she was named one of the 10 People Under 40 To Watch in Philadelphia by The Philadelphia Tribune. Tamieka is happily married to The Rev. Keon Gerow and is the mother of two.
Andrew Wilkes is the Principal of Wilkes Advocacy Group and the Co-Lead Pastor of the new church start, The Double Love Experience in Brooklyn, New York. He previously served as Associate Pastor of Social Justice and Young Adults at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York (GAC). A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Pastor Wilkes is a bi-vocational ordained minister and has built his career on a dual commitment to community development and economic justice. He is a recipient of numerous awards for his leadership and advocacy work. A public speaker and writer for outlets such as The Guardian, The Huffington Post and Sojourners Magazine, Pastor Wilkes is the convener of Stand with Black Women and Girls, a national public education campaign to promote the well-being of black women and girls through liturgy, policy options, public action, and digital engagement (#StandWithBWG). Pastor Wilkes resides in Harlem, New York with his wife, Gabby Cudjoe-Wilkes. He is the author of the newly released book, Freedom Notes: Reflections on Faith, Justice and The Possibility of Democracy. Gabby Cudjoe Wilkes is a licensed minister whose work is situated at the intersection of faith, culture, leadership and strategy. She is one of the founding pastors of the new church start, The Double Love Experience in Brooklyn, New York. She previously served as the Co-Pastor to young adults of the The Greater Allen Cathedral of New York, under the leadership of the Reverends Drs. Floyd & Elaine Flake. Committed to the work of justice both domestically and abroad, Gabby is an advocate of women in ministry and an inaugural member of the Millennial Womanist Project, a cohort of black women millennial faith leaders across the nation. She is a graduate of Hampton University (B.A.), New York University (M. A.) and Yale Divinity School (M.Div.), where she received the Charles Mersick Prize for preaching excellence. Gabby serves on the New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Hospital Pastoral Care & Education Advisory Committee, The Yale Divinity School Alumni Board, and was recently inducted into the Academy of Preachers. She is a contributing writer to the 2018 book: Mr. President: Interfaith Perspectives on the Historic Presidency of Barack H. Obama.

Erdman Center at Princeton Theological SeminaryA limited number of guest lodging rooms are available on campus in the Erdman Center. The nightly rates range from $60 – $120, depending on room type. Participants who complete the program registration will be given a link to reserve a guest room.
