This is how Jesus described his mission, and he charged his followers to live as his witnesses to abundant life for all of God’s creation. This is what OMSC@PTS seeks to foster through our Residential Study Program.

A Vibrant Global Community

Each year, OMSC at Princeton Theological Seminary welcomes to campus a new group of Resident Scholars from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Oceania* and from every Christian tradition. They include local and cross-cultural church leaders, professors, and educational administrators. These Resident Scholars enlarge our understanding and vision of the church’s participation in God’s mission in Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

At the same time, active participation in the life of the seminary community promotes the personal, intellectual, and spiritual growth of our Resident Scholars. Beyond participation in the Residential Study Program, regular and sustained interactions with seminarians, faculty, local churches, and the broader community introduce them to new forms of worship, witness, and wonder. A time of residency at OMSC@PTS renews mind, spirit, and body for the work ahead.

Seminar Series for 2024–2025 Academic Year

The Overseas Ministries Study Center at Princeton Theological Seminary is delighted to announce our 2024-25 Seminar Series on Topics in Mission & World Christianity.  These seminars are a part of our Residential Study Program for Global Partners and explore a range of timely subjects with leading scholars in their respective fields.  The topics are of seminal importance to the mission of the church today for scholars, church leaders, and intercultural workers of all kinds. 

Most seminars will take place at the OMSC House on the campus of Princeton Theological Seminary (58 Mercer St) over two consecutive mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Students, staff, and faculty of the seminary community are welcome to join us in-person.
