Chapel & Spiritual Life

The Seminary Chapel is the heart of our campus and we hope that it becomes a spiritual home for you.

The Seminary community—students, faculty, and staff—gather in Seminary Chapel daily for worship and share the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper every Friday. Students regularly participate in Bible study and in prayer groups as well as group and individual spiritual direction.

John Huh, the Bryant M. Kirkland Dean of the Chapel and Vice President for Student Life, coordinates the worship life of the Seminary. He is also available for pastoral care and support, including prayer in times of need, and conversation about spiritual reflection and vocational discernment. Wanda Sevey coordinates counseling, spiritual direction, and retreats.

Music expresses the essence of our community. From this center we explore the rich heritages of our global and ecumenical community. Worship is rooted in the Reformed tradition, but embraces worship styles and music from the breadth of the Christian tradition. If you sing, dance, or play an instrument, Martin Tel, the director of music, can help you find your place in the Seminary choir or other musical groups.
