SUMMARY:Calvin\, Tradition\, and Modernity: A Challenge for Reformed Theology
DESCRIPTION:The Department of History and Ecumenics presents the lecture series “Princeton Reformation Lectures”. The series is dedicated to furthering discussion on the history of the Reformation and on the Reformation’s legacy. The inaugural lecture will be led by Professor Ward Holder of St. Anselm College in the Theron Room of the Wright Library. A MDiv Princeton Seminary alum\, Holder is a historical and political theologian and professor of theology and politics at Saint Anselm College in Manchester\, New Hampshire. Currently Professor Holder is the president-elect of the Society for Reformation Research and in the past as served as the president of the Calvin Studies Society. Holder is an award winning author of multiple books and essays. \nPrinceton Reformation Lectures: As one of the world’s leading educational institutions in the Reformation tradition\, Princeton Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the formation of an ongoing lecture series to explore the history\, thought\, religious practice\, and culture of the Reformation as well as its ongoing legacy and importance for religious communities worldwide.
