Listen to audio of N.T. Wright’s three lectures on “The Forgotten Kingdom: How We’ve Misunderstood the Gospel,” given in October 2012. Wright is research professor of New Testament and early Christianity at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. The lectures explore the oddity that for many Christians it would be sufficient if Jesus of Nazareth had been born of a virgin and died on a cross without doing much in between. However, the Gospel writers thought the “in between stuff” was very important.
