While on campus for our conference on emerging adulthood, Chris Smith sat down with Kenda Dean to discuss the National Study of Youth and Religion and Kenda’s book, Almost Christian.

Christian Smith is the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of Sociology at the University of Notre Dame and author of Soul Searching: The Religious and Spiritual Lives of American Teenagers and Souls in Transition: The Religious and Spiritual Lives of Emerging Adults, which report the findings of the National Study of Youth and Religion.

Kenda Creasy Dean is Professor of Youth, Church and Culture at Princeton Theological Seminary and author of Almost Christian: What the Faith of our Teenagers is Telling the American Church which is based on the results of the National Study of Youth and Religion.
