About the Retreat

Sabbath Rest is a retreat for pastors who have been in ministry for 7 – 10 years. Come reflect on the meaning and purpose of your life and calling. Hear Sabbath wisdom from several traditions to stimulate new perspectives. Enjoy fellowship and community with others on the journey. Develop a plan for personal renewal that will continue beyond the time of this retreat. The retreat will include presentations and time for personal reflection. Come to Princeton this spring for a time of rest, relaxation, renewal, and connection. Sabbath Rest is offered in partnership with the Institute for Life and Care.

Retreat Leaders

Kelby Cotton 2Kelby Cotton has been in leadership positions for over 30 years including rural and inner city pastorates. He earned his Master of Divinity degree at Princeton Theological Seminary and has an extensive teaching background in spiritual formation as well as the intersection between science and religion. Kelby serves as faculty for the Institute for Life and Care.

 

Schawn Kellogg 1 Schawn Kellogg finds joy in joining others on their journey of self-discovery and transformative spiritual growth. Schawn is a Deacon in the United Methodist Church and appointed to St. Andrew UMC in Highlands Ranch, CO, where she serves with her spiritual gifts of leadership, teaching, shepherding and hospitality. She earned her Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology. Schawn serves as faculty for the Institute for Life and Care.

Registration and Lodging

Please read the registration and cancellation policy here before registering.

The cost for the program is $298, and includes program, Tuesday dinner, Wednesday breakfast/lunch, Thursday breakfast/lunch, Friday breakfast.

Onsite lodging is available for an additional $65/night (single room, private bath) or $55/night (single room, shared bath). Retreat attendees are encouraged to stay on campus at The Erdman Center.
