Ryan Ashlea Hawthorne
(M.Div./M.A., 2014) and Luigi Onwuchekwa (M.Div., 2013) are the proud parents
of Noelle Chika Mignon Chekwa. Born on
January 2, 2013 at 1:34 a.m. at University Medical Center at Princeton, Noelle
was deemed the Princeton area’s first baby of the New Year. Noelle weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured
19.25 inches.
Ryan’s due date was
December 31, 2012 and she said, “We thought Noelle might be the first baby of
the New Year, but when New Year’s Eve came and went, we just figured she
wouldn’t be the first baby of the New Year.”
When Ryan and Luigi heard the news they were surprised and a bit
confused because Noelle was born on January 2. “It seemed weird that there weren’t
any babies born at the hospital on January 1,” said Ryan.
