Money Matters Seminar Series 2013-2014

Overview

The Money Matters – Developing Sustainable Stewardship program is designed to assist PTS students in their fiscal preparation for the ministry. Seminar attendees will earn key elements of financial education which will serve them as they prepare to serve others.

Financially Savvy Adults:
Strategies for Handling Personal Finance

October 2, 2013, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Cooper Conference Room – Erdman Hall

This seminar focuses on strategies for handling personal finances, including money management, budgeting, credit investing and more.

Managing Your Student Loan Debt

November 20, 2013, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Cooper Conference Room – Erdman Hall

This goal of this seminar is to help students better handle their student loan debt. Topics include debt avoidance techniques, repayment options, deferment and forbearance and a review of salary, budgeting and repayment strategies.

One-on-one Debt & Money Counseling

December 4, 2013, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Templeton Hall 302

These 30-minute one-on-one sessions with a financial counselor assist students in preparing a sound financial plan.

Personal Finance Beyond the Degree

March 5, 2014, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Cooper Conference Room – Erdman Hall

This seminar focuses on issues relevant for graduating students preparing for the workplace. Practical challenges financial ethics and good stewardship is covered.

Tax Sessions

March 21, 2014, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Templeton Hall 302

These 10-minute one-on-one sessions with a local CPA assist students in preparing their federal income taxes.

Financial Aid Question and Answer Session

April 1, 2014, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Private Dining Room – Mackay Campus Center

Come with whatever questions you have about financial aid. Financial Aid officers are ready to help you.
