• 79% of the Master of Divinity (MDiv) graduates completed the degree in three years or less, 20% in four years, 1% in five years.
• 84% of the Master of Theology (ThM) graduates completed the degree in one year, 11% in two years, and 5% in three or more years.
• 100% of the Master of Arts in Christian Education and Formation (MACEF) graduates completed the degree in two years.
• 83% of the Master of Arts (Theological Studies) graduates completed the degree in two years, 11% in three years, and 6% in four years.
• 14% of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) graduates completed the degree in five years, 57% in six years, and 29% in more than six years.

3. PC(USA) Fall 2023 ordination exam pass rates for Princeton Theological Seminary students:

• Biblical Exegesis: 67% (national average: 77%)
• Theological Competence: 100% (national average: 77%)
• Worship and Sacraments: 80% (national average: 77%)

4. 2023 graduating MDiv students’ rating of PTS’ educational effectiveness in facilitating skills in areas of the core curriculum as reported on the ATS Graduating Student Questionnaire (Average rating based on a 5-point scale: 1-Not at all effective, 2-Not very effective, 3-Somewhat effective, 4-Effective, 5-Very effective). • Placement for the 2021-2022 graduating MDiv, Dual, MA(TS), and MACEF students who have reported to the Placement Office – 58% in vocational church ministry placement, 5% in non-church placement, 17% on to further study, 2% in other placements, 5% seeking placement, and 13% unknown.
  • Church ministry – pastor (senior/associate/youth/campus), Christian education director
  • Non-church ministry – chaplain (college/hospital/military), teacher at a Christian school

PhD Graduates

• Placement for PhD graduates from 2019-2024 – 37% in higher education faculty positions, 25% in contingent faculty and post-doctoral positions, 20% in professional clergy/ministry positions, 6% in higher education administration positions, 4% in Secondary School faculty positions, and 8% other positions and unknown.
